How to Run Your First Zombie Scan

GhostHunter finds local businesses on Google Maps that have no website. These are your best prospects.

Step 1 — Add Locations

Type a city name, zip code, or neighborhood into the location field. Press Enter to add it as a chip. You can add multiple location chips to search several areas in one scan — for example, "Sarasota, FL" + "Bradenton, FL" + "34236."

Google will suggest locations as you type. Click a suggestion or type your own and press Enter.

Step 2 — Add Niches

Type the type of business you want to find, or choose from the prebuilt emoji suggestions (🦷 Dentist, 🔧 Plumber, 🍕 Restaurant, etc.). Press Enter to add each niche as a chip. You can add multiple niches — GhostHunter runs all combinations of locations × niches in a single scan.

Example: Adding 3 locations and 2 niches runs 6 searches automatically.

Step 3 — Click Find Leads

GhostHunter searches Google Maps and filters for businesses with no website. Results appear as lead cards showing business name, address, phone number, Google rating, and review count.

Map View

Toggle the Map View button to see your leads as orange pins on Google Maps. Click any pin to open the lead card with full details. This is useful for visualizing coverage and finding clusters of leads in specific neighborhoods.

Facebook Leads

Click the Facebook Lead button to open a manual entry form. Use this to add leads you've found on Facebook Marketplace, local Facebook groups, or Facebook business pages. Fill in the business name, category, location, and contact info. The lead is added to your results and can be pitched and converted like any other lead.

Tips

  • Use multiple location chips to cover an entire metro area in one scan
  • Combine broad niches ("restaurant") with specific ones ("Thai restaurant") for better coverage
  • Switch to Map View to spot underserved neighborhoods
  • Your daily scan limit resets at midnight
  • Trial accounts: 1 scan/day, 10 results max
