How to Read the AI Competitor Analysis

After running a competitor scan, click Run AI Analysis to generate a detailed comparison report.

What the AI Analyzes

The AI reviews all the raw scan data and produces a structured report covering:

Competitive Advantages Where your client's site is stronger than competitors. Examples: faster load times, better mobile experience, more content depth, cleaner design.

Competitive Gaps Where competitors are ahead. Examples: competitors have reviews/testimonials your client doesn't, competitors rank for keywords your client misses, competitors have features (booking, chat) your client lacks.

Opportunities Specific, actionable things your client can do to close the gap. Each opportunity includes:

  • What to do
  • Why it matters
  • Estimated impact (low/medium/high)

Tech Stack Comparison A side-by-side table showing what each site runs on — CMS, hosting, analytics, forms, chat, etc. This helps you spot gaps (e.g. competitor uses live chat, client doesn't).

Content Gap Analysis Topics and pages competitors cover that your client doesn't. Great for planning a content strategy.

Using the Report

For sales pitches: Share the "Competitive Gaps" section with prospects. Showing them exactly where they fall behind competitors creates urgency. "Your top 3 competitors all have Google Reviews embedded on their homepage — you don't" is a powerful closer.

For existing clients: Share the "Opportunities" section in quarterly reviews. It gives your client a clear roadmap and positions your agency as strategic, not just tactical.

For internal planning: Use the full report to prioritize your work. High-impact, low-effort opportunities go first.

Tips

  • Run the analysis after every scan — The raw data is useful, but the AI synthesis is where the real value lives.
  • Combine with SEO Analyzer — Competitor Intel shows you the competitive landscape. SEO Analyzer gives you the specific keyword and backlink strategy. Together they're a complete SEO brief.
  • Don't share raw scan data with clients — It's too technical. Share the AI analysis instead — it's written in language clients understand.
